Ana sayfa / News

Despite the ongoing declines in demand and ongoing shipment issues in the PC graphics processor (GPU) market, the market saw some activity in the third quarter of 2025.

According to data shared by Jon Peddie Research (JPR), total GPU shipments increased by 2.5 percent compared to the previous quarter, reaching 76.6 million units. AMD, one of the main players in the market, managed to increase its market share in both GPU and CPU sectors during this quarter.

According to the report, AMD’s total GPU market share increased by 0.9 percent quarter-over-quarter. Other major players in the market experienced limited declines, with Nvidia declining by 0.1 percent and Intel declining by 0.9 percent.

When considering the overall GPU market distribution across all integrated and discrete solutions, Intel maintains its leadership with a 61 percent share, Nvidia holds a 24 percent share, and AMD ranks third with a 15 percent share.

According to year-over-year changes, a different picture emerges. Nvidia’s share increased from 18 percent to 24 percent year-over-year, while Intel’s decreased from 65 percent to 61 percent. AMD’s share decreased from 17 percent to 15 percent.

Looking at the segment where discrete GPU solutions are the only consideration, market shares appear to be shaping up in Nvidia’s favor, as they were in the second quarter of 2025. Nvidia holds a significant 94 percent share in this segment, while AMD holds a 6 percent share.

Parallel to this momentum in the graphics card market, PC processor (CPU) shipments increased by 2.2 percent quarter-over-quarter. AMD’s share of the CPU market increased by 1 percent, while Intel reportedly saw a 0.8 percent decrease. The distribution of the CPU market remained unchanged, with 30 percent in the desktop segment and 70 percent in the laptop segment.
